KC

Hello, back again. After the NYC trip I only got one day to relax. My family and I headed to KC to visit my cousin. Well, my dad was the only one not to spend extended time In KC. So we took him to all the places that we went like the Plaza, Buca's (authentic Italian restaurant), the KC temple (where my mom met some people), Village west, NFM, the lake, and the movie theater. We saw "Night at the Museum".It's a good movie. The weather was nice. Of course, we played Halo 3 and of course kicked ass. After an eventful two weeks, I am finally home in my own bed and it feels good.

I heard something on the radio that was disturbing. A worker at a hospital decided to put up an American Flag, to celebrate Memorial Day, outside her office. It was 3x5 ft flag, which I think is a little bit big. She was told to take it down, not because it was too big but some people complained about it. A co-worker (who's African and came to this country 14 years ago) of her said that it offended her. The hospital gave in and allowed her to the flag back-up. My take on this: how can anyone be offended of the American flag especially if you live here. You already know my view on this so I won't waste any more time.

Anyways, I will be posting when I have time. TTYL.

NYC

Hey. It's been a long time since I posted because I have gotten very busy. What has happened this past few weeks has been memorable. I went to NYC but on the way did a few things. I went to GR and stayed at my friend's place. We were supposed to leave for NY at 1pm then at 3pm and finally left at 7pm. It's about 10 hour drive to mid state NY. We drove through Canada and stopped at duty free, where liquor was cheap. I mean a liter of Captain was 12 bucks and 3L of vodka was 32 bucks. We didn't arrive to our destination til 5 am. We had to help our friend move, thinking he had packed stuff, I didn't think it'll take long. Nope, I was mistaken. It took us 8 hours to get everything done. Finally, the next day we went to NYC. We left a little bit late (which isn't a surprise). We got stuck in traffic in NYC and our other friend's place was on the the other side of town. I saw the World's Fair, JFK airport and Citi Field from the car. It was about 6 pm before all the luggage was dropped off and headed towards the train station. By taking the train, we didn't have to pay for parking. It was about 7 pm when the train stopped at Penn station. I got out and saw Madison Square Garden (from the outside of course). It was awesome. We stopped for some food and continued on. We walked to Times Square. It was magnificent, I mean the movies don't do it justice. After sending time there, we shopped at Macy's. Their store is the biggest dept. store in the country. 8 floors! All of us got to our friend's place about 10 pm. We all got ready and went out. Got pretty drunk that night and slept in. That cost us a lot of time because on Sat. we only got to see Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Ground Zero, and the Subway. All of us checked in a hotel to stay the night. We went out to party where it was pouring rain. We got into a rooftop bar (stopped raining by then) where you can see the skyline. Finally, we headed home. We left about 10 am, got to mid-state about 230 picked our friend's stuff and left about 330. We got to Canada border at 7pm but got stuck in a huge line. It took us 2 hours to go one mile. It was about 9pm by the time we got done with that. By the time we got to my friend's place in G.R., dropped everyone off and stuff it was about 5 am. I stayed there a couple days before I headed back home. I'll say that's an exhausting trip but well worth it.

Got more but will post that soon. keep on reading.

Update....

Hey...everybody. This will be a quick post.
These last few days have flown by so fast. I went to my dad's place last friday; where we eventually went to see my friend's parents in Michigan. I saw some of my friends for the first time since last November. I was told that they are going to New York to go see another friend of mine and then we will go to NYC. Also, I don't have to worry about gas or lodging. This is like once of a lifetime event, so I am going. Well anyways, I did a lot of driving that weekend. This week I did some painting of the bathrooms and mowed the lawn. That's it.
