Sick and tired....

Hey, How's it going?
Before I get started, I would like to congratulate my cousin on his adjustment to married life, lol. Anyways, let's go to the serious stuff.

The oil spill that is happening in the Gulf of Mexico is heart-breaking. Not only did people lose their lives but it's affecting the environment as well. It might take months to shut off the spewing of oil into the gulf. I don't know if this could have been avoided but it's sad to see. After all this, Obama is still considering off-shore drilling. Although accidents like this rarely happens, does anybody want to take that risk? I wish the alternative fuels would be the focus instead of oil. At the end of the day, hopefully, this will be solved soon.

The Arizona Immigration law is another controversial topic. I don't see the big deal about this. Okay, it's about civil rights and racial-profiling. If the the federal government is doing nothing about it what should the state do? It's taking the matter in it's own hands. All the law is doing is giving the state police the same authority as a federal cops. Federal law is now being enforced as a state law, that's pretty much it. People shouldn't be mad at Arizona but at the federal law.

I am sick of publications and infomercials misleading the public on weight-loss. I don't mind P90X because it's a good starter for the first three months or "insanity" that's another good starter. After awhile, you'll hit a plateau and need actual weights to maintain strength. What really pisses me off is the magazines that say "I lost 7lbs in 7 days". Just because a celebrity supposedly did that, that means you can do it too. They have more resources than most people. I saw an infomercial about "shake weight" and it was funny. Seriously, doing that six minutes a day will build muscle and replace workouts? Are you kidding? It's also funny to look at, if you don't know what I mean just check youtube. Another thing that makes me mad is all these cleansing diets. What do you think your body does? Especially, your liver and kidneys, it cleanses, so I think it's pointless. Besides, do you know why you are losing weight? It's because you are drinking the lemon-pepper drink and not eating anything else. All in all, there is no shortcut other than diet and exercise. 1lb to 2lbs per week is good progress.

That's it for today. Will be posting soon.Peace.
