Obama...

Hey. What's going on? I have been sick for the past couple of days but I am a bit better today.

President Obama is going to Denmark trying to get the Olympics to his hometown of Chicago. I get it that he wants the Olympics in this country but we just had one in '96. Do we really need another one? There are so many other problems here and he has done nothing to solve them. Come on where the leader that this country voted for? Where's "yes, we can"? He hasn't accomplished anything, yet. The problem I think is that he becoming too much of celebrity. He's going to all these talk shows and stuff,]. People are already apprehensive about the health care reform because government gave so much to companies who messed up,help them out. He hasn't convinced enough people that health care reform is a good thing. Who knows? Calling Kanye a jackass isn't what I voted for. I want results and I want him stop all this "let's all get along" crap; in politics, that never works and you'll get eaten alive. That's exactly what the Republicans are doing. It has also divided the democratic party as well. All I am saying is be the leader of this country and get things done or you might be a worse president than Bush was. At least he got things done, albeit bad, but got things that his party wanted. Come on Obama, I am cheering for you but the hope you offered isn't the hope we are getting. The question is "can you do what you promised or will you be like every other politician and break promises? Only time will tell.

I am sick of everything this country has become. I never thought this country will divided like this. Ooh, there is a song about Obama or that he is now brain-washing kids. This has gotten out of control. This is completely insane. Where is common sense? Ooh, "the government is out to get me". They have other problems than you, come on, people. Oh no, we will be socialist. Hello, we are already there. Don't blame Obama for that, it started with Reaganomics. It's been progressing slowly while you sleep. So, wake up and smell the coffee.

I am going to watch "Capitalism: A love story" with an open mind. I might not agree what Michael Moore says but will try to get a better grasp of capitalism.

That's it for now. Peace.

Lions win!!!

This will be a short post. The Lions finally win a game. After losing nineteen in a row, I thought they won't win until they play the Rams. I was wrong. All around a good effort by everyone including the defense. Stafford played well and is improving week by week and the defense is doing the same. Now I hope they can build from this and win against the Bears.

I will always be a Lions fan, not like some people.
Peace.

Sicko....

I had so much free time, Tuesday, that I helped cook, vacuum, and helped my mom walk a block. I tried to pass the time by watching TV, doing push-ups, and just relaxing. I decided to watch the documentary "Sicko" to better understand this health care debate.. If you haven't watched "Sicko" please do before commenting.

I wanted to write so much about how I felt but decided to calm down because I was so angry. I was and still am angry at the insurance companies, the politicians and people who don't have a conscience. I felt for the victims who had to suffer because I too have been there. My mom had to wait the hospital for an extra week (she stayed for a total of three weeks) because the insurance company wouldn't give her the meds needed. The reason: the didn't think my mom was sick enough. Hell, anybody could have seen that. After getting 6 doctors' recommendations, they approved it. Guess what? They only covered partial payment of the hospital stay. We have to come up with the rest. It's their fault my mom had to stay and now we get punished. How's that fair? There are stories where children and their family suffers because they got sick or an accident but can't afford it because the insurance decided not to cover their expenses. Why are they punishing them? What did they do wrong? What insurance companies did to these people was heartless.
What bothers me even more that prisoners (terrorists) at Guantanamo Bay get better health care than we do. What's even worse seeing Bush gloating about it.

I now understand why the insurance companies and Republicans are against the public option. We all know how we got there....power, greed and money. Some Doctors support them because of money. Instead of having 7 cars and 5 house they will only have five cars and thee houses. I mean is there a difference? Don't get me wrong, there are doctors who will help and do care but not enough or this would have been fixed a long time ago.

I am afraid any health care reform won't pass thus this will never change. What are the other Americans afraid of? Too much government spending? We would have a crap load less debt if they avoided wars and other stuff. Taxpayers pay for the Police and fire departments, the library system, mass transit (to an extent), schools (K-12) and the Post Office. I am sick and tired of this socialistic view BS. Seriously, America is headed that way if not already there.

The health care system needs to be overhauled and Obama at least is trying do something about it. Although, something is better than nothing but it probably won't be enough because it'll be watered down. In the end, if you want better health care and live a longer life, America won't provide that for you. Hopefully, us Americans, won't get sick and practice preventative medicine or otherwise, well, you're screwed.

outspoken people

I, usually, like to have an intro to my entry but decided not to this time.
There are many people that I know and at least one certain celeb out there who are outspoken. Let me get this out there, I have no problem people voicing their opinions; But whatever comes out of their mouth is their responsibility, must own up to it. I mean it's okay to have opinions but there must be a time to know when to stop. They sometimes cross a line but most of the time do not realize it. Sometimes it hurts other people of what they say. All these people out there like Kanye, Glenn Beck, and others don't know when to shut up or realize it's not all about them. The world is hard enough, already, we don't need them to make things worse. Out there, there is some kid thinking this is all right; "I can speak my mind and have no consequences". It's like they can do/say whatever they want and all they get is a slap on the wrist and that's it. When will they learn? When will someone step up and tell them that they are wrong for doing or saying things that is inappropriate? I hope one day they realize what they(Kanye and others) are doing and grow up. If not, this will only get worse, by god, I don't want to see that.

Other thoughts:
Health care system sucks. How can we lower costs? Hmm? By not getting sick or getting sick less often. Most diseases can be prevented by exercising, eating healthy, and using germ disinfectant. It's pretty obvious that's not being done. Of course, not all of them can be avoided but it's a start.

The government is run by corporations thus we, the people, will never see a bailout, better health care or other things we need help with. But they will raise taxes whenever they please.

Music out there sucks. There are songs that aren't bad but they are overplayed. Good news, that A.R. Rahman released a new OST: Blue. It's not bad; better than what's out there.

What's with the Bollywood/Hollywood crossover. I don't like it because I watched Indian movies as an alternative to Hollywood movies. This sucks.

The Bro Code is long. I am pretty sure I broke at least 10 of them. Don't laugh, I bet you did too.

Season Premiere week has started. BBT and HIMYM were pretty funny. I hope other shows this week won't disappoint.

My mom is back from the hospital. It's nice to have her back home. Thanks, for those out there, who prayed for my mom's health, I appreciate it. She's getting back to normal, now.

It's finally nice to hear that people are listening to me. Better late than never- wait- it is too late. Most of this could have been avoided five years ago.

I lost both of my matchups in fantasy football, oh well, there is always next week.

Talk to you later.

Topics galore

It's been awhile since I wrote an entry in my blog. I have been busy of late. I just bought a 360 cuz the old went kaput. I have been playing halo 3 whenever that I am bored. It's kinda fun playing others online. I am average player though and inconsistent. Well anyways let's begin.

Health care debate is still going on but I just hope for the best. The minority in this argument should get their head checked because it is getting to the point of being ridiculous.Someone said "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Umm....it is broke and needs to be fixed. He's probably rich and don't have to worry about insurance. Obama's address pretty much stated the facts and was clear about it. The congressman who heckled him should be kicked out just for being an idiot. I really think Obama should step up, stop pleasing everyone and get stuff done. He tried that way and it didn't work. So now man up and get it done. Simple as that. The White House and the democrats have to stop listening to the minority and listen to the majority. Not everyone will agree with so do what's best for the country.

Kanye's meltdown at the VMA's was just weird but at the same time is the person who said "Bush hates black people". His actions are inexcusable and I will not listen to any of his music for awhile. Although he did apologize, it was too little, too late. At least he admitted that he needs help and some time off, that's the first step. Someone should help him but who can help this guy? He pissed a lot of people off including the president. Kanye is in his own world some one should kick him out of it. There are people out there who speak their mind, which is fine, but never realize there are consequences and he is one of them. I hope, beyind hope, that other people seeing this will imitate him and make things more worse than they really are. Please people, use common sense things will be a lot better.

Is it me or is good music really that hard to find? Listen to the radio, and they play the same freaking songs over and over again. Pop music is back in a vengeance and it sucks ass. This year is full of average songs nothing that stands out and I am sick of it. Right now, I am listening to older songs because music now is ordinary. I hope someone comes out with a fantastic album or OST soon.

Fantasy news: My baseball team made the playoffs and lost in the first round. My fantasy football team won the first week by destroying the other team by 49pts. The lions still suck but not as bad as last year. They will win eventually.

I am done for now, bye.
