Education....

Long time, no blog. Let's dive in. Two main things in this country that need to be fixed are health care and education. The main problem with the education system is that they are rewarding mediocrity. What the hell? As I read in another blog, our education sucks because of this. C's in school should be failing, not F. We are telling kids that average is okay but it is not. How many countries are passing us? I feel like we are doing nothing. This country have tons of smart people and potentially lots more. We'll never see it because of this mindset. There should only be ribbons and prizes for the top 10% or top 3 of anything and the rest can go home crying or something. No prizes or certificates for 10th place out of 10 people for participating. Stop sugar-coating stuff. Tell it how it is. Another problem is truancy. After a while just move on, if the parents don't do their job and kids don't want to go school; don't force them. If people want to be educated, they'll find a way. Let people who want to better themselves educationally do so. the mindset we have as of this moment is horrible. Actually, you can see this in other aspects such as sports and government bail outs. This needs to change, I don't know how but it does. Once this is fixed, then you'll see a better, smarter country.
